DAY 1: Arrival Day

You will be picked up at the airport and transported to your hotel. Today you will rest and make any necessary preparations before embarking on your travels in the morning.


DAY 2 : Materuni Waterfalls, Chagga Tribe + Coffee Tour

Today we take a short drive towards Materuni. We'll hike through the village as you make your way to the waterfalls. This village is home to the Chagga people who are famously known for their great tasting coffee. Here you will learn exactly how coffee is made and even enjoy the opportunity to make a cup for yourself! We will spend the day hiking through lush forests and cooling off under the waterfalls. Lunch will be provided at a picnic site near to the waterfalls. In the evening you will drive back to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay.


DAY 3 : Moshi - Tarangire National Park

We begin the morning with a drive to Tarangire National Park. It’s landscape speckled with large baobab trees and numerous bird species. The Tarangire River offers a view that’s filled with beauty. The tour continues to Lemiyoni area until afternoon where a lunchbox will be provided at Matete Picnic Site. Then we visit Tarangire River, the only permanent water supply in the area that attracts many wild animals during the dry season months. Continue your drive to Lake Burugi and Kitibong. We overnight within Tarangire.


DAY 4 : Tarangire National Park - Lake Natron

Soon after breakfast, we leave Tarangire for Lake Natron. Along our journey, we will stop at the Rift Valley Viewpoint for a lovely view of Lake Manyara and the Rift Valley. Upon arrival to Lake Natron, you will have the opportunity to visit the large soda lake where many pink flamingos gather. Here you will also soak up the dazzling views of Ol Doinyo Lengai, an active volcano known as “the mountain of God” to the Maasai people. If you are up for an adventure you can arrange to hike Ol Doinyo Lengai (ascend at night).


DAY 5: Lake Natron - Maasai Village Tour

Today, we travel to a remote village to meet the Maasai tribe. The Maasai people are a semi nomadic tribe found within Tanzania. We will spend the day with these beautiful people, dressed in colourful clothing and handmade bead jewellery. You will have the opportunity to dance to their traditional music and enjoy local food as the sun goes down.If you wish, we can arrange an overnight within the Maasai village.


DAY 6: Maasai Village - Serengeti National Park

Begin your morning as the sun rises. Helping to milk the cows while learning more about the daily lives of the Maasai people, as well as their activities, traditions and rituals. Explore more of the village before heading to Serengeti National Park through Bologonja gate. Dinner and overnight at campsite or lodge.


DAY 7: Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, we commence our tour through the Serengeti. The Serengeti ranges from savanna, endless plains of grasslands and enchanting woodlands. It is most famously known for the spectacular migration of over 1 million wildebeest and 250 000 zebra that takes place annually and is assumed to have one of the largest population of lions in Africa. Afternoon will consist of a lunchbox. Dinner and overnight at Serengeti.


DAY 8: Serengeti Plains - Ngorongoro Conservation Area

After breakfast you will experience the endless plains of the Serengeti and see many kopjes. Kopjes (as seen in The Lion King movie - Pride Rock!) are a stack of rocks that rise up over the grasslands and allow lions to survey their surroundings. Afternoon will consist of a lunchbox before transferring to Ngorongoro. Enjoy possible wildlife viewings along the way or witness Maasai people herding their cattle. Dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro.


DAY 9: Ngorongoro Crater Tour

Descend into the crater and spend the entire day exploring this beautiful area. The Ngorongoro Crater is the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera that is 20 kilometres in diameter and covers an area of 300 square kilometres. It is filled with history, stunning views and many large wild animals. The Cape buffalo, black rhinoceros and hippopotamus may be spotted here. You may also have the opportunity of seeing lions and elephants. It is a unique environment where the Maasai people live among these majestic creatures. Afternoon lunchbox will be provided. At the end of our drive through the crater, we proceed to the rim to overnight at campsite or lodge.


DAY 10: Lake Eyasi - Hadzabe + Datooga Tribes

The Hadzabe and Datooga people of Lake Eyasi are fascinating tribes.The Hadzabe people live solely off the land as hunters and gatherers. You'ill have the opportunity to visit them, experience their way of life and hear their unique way of communication which resembles a ‘clicking’ sound. Embark on an adventurous morning hunt with the skilled Hadzabe Tribe and learn how they craft their own weapons and spears. During the afternoon you will meet the Datooga people.Take part in their bracelet making traditions and receive a lesson on how they ground maize by hand. In the evening we leave Lake Eyasi to Karatu to have dinner and overnight.


DAY 11: Lake Manyara Game Drive

After breakfast, we head for Lake Manyara. Within this park you will have the opportunity of seeing wild animals and flamingos. If lucky, you may even spot a Lake Manyara Tree Climbing Lion! Lunchbox will be provided at the hot spring picnic site (Mji Moto). Following lunch we continue our safari tour before traveling back to Arusha. If you would like to extend your tour, we can arrange a 3-4 day Zanzibar beach holiday!
